A woman is immersed into Ganges’ waters, practicing the ritual ablution of Hindu religion. Every day, Varanasi’s gaths attract hundred of pilgrims and Saddhus who believe that bathing in the sacred waters of Ganges river will wash away their sins. This tradition has no connection without the cleanliness of Ganges, that remains one of the most pulluted rivers of the world. Ritual of water is a feature of many religions, especially in the holy city of Varanasi, considered the giver of salvation.
